## Carcassonne tournament mode

In the Carcassonne tournament mode four rounds of Carcassonne should be played. Each round a different version of Carcassonne is played. There will be no separate final round. If possible there should always be four players at each table. If it´s not possible due to the number of players in total, there should be three player tables to get everyone into play. Tables with less than three players are not allowed. The places at the table are sorted by a playingplan.Scoring in the tournament is handled this way: After every round players get tournamentpoints depending on their place in their game. The winner scores 5 points, the second one 3 points, third 2 and the fourth 1 point. If some players score is equal, the points of their places are summed up und are split among the players.

Example: Two players score the first place, so two times first place equals (5+3)/2 = 4 Points for each player.

If at a table only three players play, the points are given by the following scheme 5-3-1. The sum of the tournament points mirrors the rank in the tournament. If two players have the same amount of tournamentpoints, the sum of the relative points of each round of the players is used as a tie breaker. In a three player game there is a virtual fourth player added, who scored points equal to the arithmetic mean, of the other three players.

If there still should be a tie between players, the sum of the absolute points breaks the tie.

**Boardgame tournament mode:**

If the tournament mode „boardgame“ is chosen, players play eather four different boardgames or a single boardgame for three times. Which boardgames are played is told by the tournament supporter.
